Support Analyst

Adecco, in partnership with a local manufacturer, is seeking a Support/Analyst for a 3-6 month temp assignment in Andover, MA. The position is Mon-Fri, 8-5 and pay is DOE.  

Job Description
Will support over 500 users in a multi-site, multi-platform environment.  This position has dual responsibilities: 1) Act as the first and second tier support in the resolution of issues for end-users, and 2) Provide Systems Administration and support, as directed by the Team Lead.  This position will provide hands-on implementation and on-going day-to-day support and consulting across the organization.  Operating under minimal supervision, this position will work with staff members, peers and business partners to maintain the systems, policies and procedures.
Responsibilities & Expectations
•    Answer, evaluate and prioritize incoming phone, v/e-mail and in person requests for support
•    Detects, investigates and assists in the timely resolution of system failures
•    Provides timely, accurate, efficient and effective service to the end clients
•    Utilizes diagnostic tools to identify issues and confers with internal/external support to affect solutions
•    Maintain and updated ticketing system
•    Installation, integration and administration of a VoIP communications system
•    Analyze and evaluate incident report rates and make recommendations to reduce help desk usage
•    Order, configure and install hardware and peripheral components for end users
•    Support employee relocation and transfers
•    Document existing systems and new applications that are rolled out
•    On-call availability required

Job Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s Degree in the field of computer science or information systems
•    1+ years of related experience 
•    Expertise in the following areas:
•    Experience working in a hands-on team environment
•    Demonstrated ability to creatively apply and solve business problems
•    Ability to manage and maintain security and departmental protocols and procedures
•    Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all end users
•    Self-motivated, self-directed and attentive to details
•    Ability to handle emergencies in a calm, controlled manner
