Adecco Medical and Science has an immediate opening for a Support Service Assistant I on a contract opportunity at a leading medical center in Palo Alto! You must have atleast 1 year of experience with inventory and stocking and willing to work hard. The pay rate starts is $24.40 an hour, fulltime and we have all shifts avaible.

Support Service Assistant I

Job Summary:

Receive, store, issue, and deliver equipment and supplies.
Perform daily inventory, restocking and maintenance of supply carts.
Transport patients and equipment; pick up soiled supplies and equipment.
Assist, sort and verify charges for supplies, equipment and services delivered.
Cleans, disinfects and stores equipment.
Monitors stock levels and notifies Supervisor of items on short supply.
Performs daily inventories in designated areas utilizing a hand held computer.
Maintains supply carts in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
Ensures products are properly rotated.
Assists that dispatch function, answering customer's inquiries and filling requisitions.
Perform patient and supply transport functions.
Deliver clean equipment and pickup soiled equipment.
Cleans, disinfects and stores equipment.
Maintain all storage areas in a neat and clean manner.
Assemble, deliver, and pick up oxygen tanks.
Maintains a professional work environment; keeps work area clean and organized.
Practices good time management.
Maintains professional behavior and appearance.
Promotes a positive work environment by practicing good communication, diversity awareness and team work.
Demonstrates the ability to assess, identify and respond to urgent or stat request in an efficient, effective and appropriate manner.
Follows SUMC safety guidelines for self, patient, visitors and employees.
Follows SUMC Infection prevention policies and procedures.
Responds with patient and non-patient emergencies according to SUMC policies and procedures and job requirements.
Receives and fills phone and long form orders for supplies and/or equipment.
Delivers supplies and sets up equipment and various user units.
Picks up charges and batches them for transmittal to Data Processing.
Maintains patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instruction.
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to acquire and practice thorough knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique when carrying out various functions in Supply Distribution.
One year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work independently without close supervision.
Friendly, courteous, cooperative, team oriented, proactive attitude, problem solving skills and detailed accuracy are required.
Must have work experience in a stack/distribution capacity and have knowledge of the mechanical and electrical equipment handled by the department.
