Survey Modeling Engineer

Applicant must have a good knowledge and ability to perform 3D Modeling for Civil Construction purposes. Contribute 3D modeling to a project in a team or individual environment.
Must be able to read, research, and interpret 2D plan documents required to accurately create technical 3D models. Research is a main component of the position.
Must have experience with MicroStation Open Roads/In Roads, Trimble Business Center, Terramodel, along with preparation of machine control files.
Must be self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Must be willing to learn new 3D skills and software as required.
Maintain Departmental modeling standards.
Must be able to draw and present concepts.
Must be able to conduct one’s self accordingly in a professional business environment.

Decision Making:
The 3D modeler may be required to create 3D models with very little source material available. Research of several sets of plan documents will be required to correctly interpret the information provided to accurately create the 3D machine control files required for projects.
Will be required to self-assess the progress of an assigned task. Decision making skills are required to successfully manage the workload and determine priorities.


Applicant is required to have 4-7 years of experience working in the 3D Modeling Field. Producing 3D models for machine control use. Candidate must be able to provide examples of previous work

Applicant must have obtained a 2 year certificate as a minimum requirement.
