Adecco Executive Recruitment, on behalf of its client in the Jamestown, NY area, is currently recruiting for the job of Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities:


Leads and manages the successful introduction of new wire harness products and projects and the enhancement of existing products for the Company's OEM, fleet, trailer, and body market customers.
Develops competency in Unigraphics to design wire harness/lighting systems for trucks, trailers and truck bodies and to revise existing harness drawings to current engineering standards.
Develops working knowledge of trailer harness development including the legal, functional, OE assembly, validation, quality, and manufacturing aspects of the system.
Supports application development, quote and design development, process management and the successful installation of products at the customer.
Supports harness tooling projects and capability studies, harness cost reduction engineering, formal product specificat ions development, and product design constraints.
Works market customers to identify targets for proactive application development and standardization of wire harnesses and systems.
Technical liaison between internal engineering support and fleets, trailer OE's, body OE' s.
Participates and provides direction in the development of NPI products with the customer and Product Engineering and Sales for new releases and to address customer application inquiries or concerns.
Coordinates and leads customer and/or sales training seminars for new products, troubleshooting or product installs to provide added value to company's product offering.
Develops and evaluates new concepts and designs, program requirements, and time-lines to support the Company's sales strategy/ objectives.
Develops detailed engineering solutions incorporating new technology applications to improve overall performance of existing products.
Provides product engineering support to manufacturing engineering and the manufacturing floor.
Develops working knowledge of product lines to support customer's technical needs.
Develops communication tools for harness business/projects.
Supports regular travel requirements to customers and to the Company's corporate headquarters.


Requires:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Engineering Technology.
Preferred candidates will have strong project management experience
PC skills include MS Project/Word/Excel/Access, 2D or 3D Modeling experience with CATIA, Unigraphics or ProE.
