Responsibilities for this Youth Talent Development Specialist job include, but are not limited to:

  • Send out correspondence to schedule appointments, requests employment verifications, and acquires pay stubs when applicable
  • Assume central responsibility for participants achieving self-sufficiency by monitoring progress throughout the program cycle, beginning with referral and continuing through retention and advancement efforts
  • Prepare, organize and maintain participant files reflecting the entire history of a program participant
  • Maintain case files in an audit-ready state and maintain log of supportive services issued as well as maintaining accurate, updated information in the participant database
  • Submit internal and customer reports as required and process incoming mail and referrals Prepare summary documents for and attends appeal hearings when necessary Facilitate staff in-services
  • Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
  • Must be able to market JOBI Business and Career Solutions Center and explain the mission to the general public.
  • Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with, and among, all personnel.
  • Must support the mission of ResCare Workforce Services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work occasionally long or extended hours, including weekends.
  • Must be able to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of all information housed in the division.


Qualifications for this Youth Talent Development Specialist job:

  • B.S. [B.A. in social services or related field preferred, a minimum two (2) years working with targeted population required. Experience maybe substituted for formal education.
  • Case Management /Career Development experience preferred
  • Must pass State criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Must be able to pass OMV check and be insurable through the Company's automotive liability carrier. Must provide own transportation and maintain proper vehicle registration, vehicle inspection and insurance.
  • Must be able to tolerate frequent periods of high stress, heavy workload and multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to hear, see and communicate effectively with participants.
  • Reports to: Youth Supervisor
