TALENT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

Type:                  Fulltime (40 hours / week) contract

Length:              6 months+

Pay:                    $18.00/ HR Based on Experience

Shift/Hours:     10A – 6:30P

 

Responsibilities for this Talent Development Specialist position include but are not limited to:

  • Providing services to one or more of the following customer groups: WIOA Adult, Dislocated Worker, Youth, the universal population and other special program populations as required
  • Provide a positive introduction to the job search and readiness program
  • Ensure workshop rooms and common areas remain uncluttered and professional in appearance
  • Identify participant challenges to finding employment and prompt them to find solutions
  • Complete paperwork to document participant activity and progress
  • Conduct job search, education, job retention and/or job readiness
  • Identify participant challenges and prompt them to find solutions
  • Maintain information about area resources and employers
  • Ensure participant accountability
  • Meet with participants to assess job search plans; discusses obstacles to obtain employment; and monitors daily activities
  • Track and maintain employment retention goals
  • Provide government agencies with prompt notification that a participant has lost or reduced hours of employment
  • Provide information to participants on available training and/or jobs that will lead to advancement
  • Send out correspondence to schedule appointments, requests employment verifications, and acquires pay stubs when applicable
  • Prepare, organize and maintain participant files when applicable
  • Maintain case files in an audit-ready state
  • Maintain accurate, updated information in the participant database
  • Submit internal and customer reports as required and process incoming mail and referrals
  • Prepare summary documents for and attends appeal hearings when necessary

    Qualifications for this Talent Development Specialist position:

  • A High School diploma/GED required
  • Microsoft Excel experience is required
  • Call Center experience
  • Client/patient tracking system experience
  • Receptionist experience is a plus
