Tax Lead


Adecco is hiring a Tax Manager to serve as a source of tax expertise for a client in Secaucus, NJ. This position has primary responsibility for compliance with all domestic tax regulations as they pertain to tax accounting and compliance.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Assess the organization's liability to all applicable taxing authorities for income, sales tax, property tax, and payroll tax.
  • Oversee all tax filings.
  • Analyze the effect of tax regulations, laws and accounting alternatives to ensure correct application of new or existing tax regulations.
  • Supervise ad hoc analysis of tax implications for new company strategies.
  • Ensure proper execution of existing tax control environment and improve process as needed.
  • Research and implement adherence to new tax laws and reporting requirements with assistance of third party resources. 
  • Act as the primary interface for external auditors on all tax matters.
  • Collaborate with government auditors and respond to tax related inquires and audit issues.
  • Work with financial statement auditors to address any tax accounting or reporting matters.
  • Work closely with and assist as needed existing tax staff.
  • Review work papers and provide insight as required.
  • Work in close partnership with other areas of finance on and ad hoc basis to ensure a collaborative working environment and seamless activity and output for Finance.
  • Work with Treasury to advise the company on the tax benefits of proposed investments, financing vehicles, business ventures, acquisitions and divestitures or other strategic financial decisions.
  • Work as a partner with the Business Finance team to ensure understanding of tax implications of business strategies and processes. Assist in the implementation of operational changes needed to optimize tax planning, as appropriate.
  • Act as a key advisor to the CFO and CAO on All technical tax regulatory and accounting matters.
  • Several years of experience in corporate tax and with tax provision
  • Must have technical expertise necessary to ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, while optimizing the company's effective tax rate.
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA, preferred
