Adecco is currently assisting a client in their search to fill a Tax Operations Specialist/ Tax Documentation role located in East Hartford, CT .


9+ month contract
HOURS: 8 am to 5 pm Monday - Friday

Job Description:
Job Description Summary: Responsible for the day to day support of W-8/W-9/CRS tax document validation and data processing as part of annual remediation and solicitation initiative. Coordinate with internal groups to ensure timely validation of tax forms and accurate digitization of client tax static data. Ability to use Microsoft Office to support status reporting requirements. Must be able to communicate across and up the organization and work independently. Description: Tax Documentation Processing Operations team (TDPO) is responsible for ensuring Global Banking client tax forms are in compliance with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations. TDPO supports U.S. tax reporting and withholdings to the IRS on an annual basis to ensure that Bank of America and its clients are in compliance with all tax regulatory guidelines. TDPO performs tax form validation and storage of client documents for Global Banking line of business to ensure compliance with IRS tax laws (Chapters 3, 4, and 61) as well as other global tax regulations (e.g. CRS, etc.)

Daily responsibilities for the Tax Documentation Operations associate will include assistance with the researching of tax related inquires, tax form validation, digitization of client tax static data, report generation, quality assurance, remediation efforts, and additional projects as needed. The associate will be expected to be work independently as well as collaboratively with teams located locally and internationally while performing their functions.

Job responsibilities:
•Responsible for researching and responding to internal and external client inquiries.
•Review and validate IRS Forms W-9, W-8BEN, W-8ECI, W-8EXP and W-8IMY.
•Management of internal tax and settlement systems and timely processing of data input.
•The associate will be expected to be work independently as well as collaboratively with teams located locally and internationally while performing their functions.


Requirements:

2+ years of Tax experience
•Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

Desired skills:
•1 to 2 years of experiences in a Tax Documentation role.
•Familiarity with IRS Forms W-8 and W-9 requirements.
•Familiarity with FATCA regulations.
•Bachelor degree or equivalent preferred.
