Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details:
Job Title: Tax Staff
Shift: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm
Location: Dallas, TX
Pay Rate: NA

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare separate company state income/franchise tax returns
• Coordinate the preparation of business licenses & annual reports with the 3rd party service provider which includes data collection & answering questions
• Provide Income and Indirect tax audit support including retrieval of invoices or other documentation required to respond to audit requests
• Ensure tax positions are appropriately documented
• Ensure supporting workpapers are prepared in accordance with department processes
• Work closely with various departments including IT, Accounts Payable, Accounting & Treasury
• Prepare payment requests & follow-through to ensure timely remittance
• Ad hoc projects as assigned
• Communicate in a timely, informative & accurate manner with superiors
• Accountable for meeting project deadlines
• Meet expectations on attendance & punctuality
• Proactively seeks guidance from more experienced team members to develop expertise
• Other administrative duties as needed for position

• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite; proficient in Excel
• Ability to multi-task & prioritize projects to ensure they are completed within assigned deadlines
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Detail oriented with consistent accuracy
• Sound analytical skills
• Solid organizational & follow-through skills
• Display strong written & verbal communication skills
• Handle responsibilities with minimal supervision


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Pursing a Master’s degree in tax preferred
• 1-3 years of experience
• Prior professional work experience handling federal/state tax & accounting matters a plus
