Team Lead

                 

Adecco Staffing is currently recruting for a  Butler Area Glass Maufacturer TEAM LEAD position. This is for a direct hire position

 

ROLE

The  Team Lead’s role is to oversee a department and all employees in it. The Team Lead is responsible for managing all aspects of Safety, Tracking, Quality, Equipment, Preventative Maintenance (PM), and 5S. The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring all orders meet or are better than our posted On-Time-Delivery (OTD), Internal Remakes, and External Remakes goals. The Team Lead is also responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure all items are complete on schedule. They must ensure everything on the schedule is complete before leaving at the end of their shift. Additionally, the Team Lead is responsible for incorporating and practicing the 5 UPG Core Values (Family, Customer Focus, Integrity and Ethics, Teamwork, Continuous Improvement) in their work area daily.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all employees in their department are wearing correct PPE and following safety practices and procedures.
  • Ensure employees are performing procedures in accordance with applicable Standard Work
  • Understand and be able to communicate Glass Inspection Standards on all products in this department.
  • Track glass needed for the days schedule and ensure all items scheduled for each day are completed on time.
  • Resolve product issues by performing root cause analysis
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication.
  • Openly and regularly communicate with Leaders from other departments to achieve department and company goals
  • Have thorough understanding of the operation of all equipment in the department and have ability to recognize issues with equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment’s preventative maintenance is performed as required (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, etc
  • 5S – Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain the department
  • Manage flow of products through the department
  • Assist in training new employees in the department
  • Escalate issues to the Building Supervisor and/or Plant Manager when necessary
  • Perform Leader Standard Work regularly at predetermined intervals throughout each day
  •  

    EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
  • Experience supervising people (preferred)
  • Experience utilizing manufacturing equipment and/or knowledge of basic equipment troubleshooting (preferred)
  • Basic computer skills (preferred)

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to stand for 8 hours or more per day
  • Able to lift 45lbs regularly throughout the shift and up to 75lbs occasionally throughout the shift
  • Able to use arms/hands for pulling, pushing, reaching, and manipulating large pieces of glass
