Adecco Direct Placement is recruiting on behalf of our client in the Winston Salem, NC area for the position of Technical Sales Manager. In this role, the Technical Sales Manager will work from a home office, and travel 40-50% of the time to client sites. Qualified candidates are preferred to reside in North Carolina, South Carolina, or Georgia, but our client is open to the East Coast, as well. Qualified candidates MUST come from the Nonwoven industry. A great base salary and bonus is being offered in this position. Please see a list of duties and responsibilities below:

Duties, Responsibilities, and Functions:
• Manages the resolution of technical issues for users of company products, including current and prospective clients, resellers, and professional product testing organizations.
• Designs, develops, and implements processes, systems, and technology to support and enhance the technical support function. Coordinates support issues for account management with sales team.
• Identifies potential sales leads through customer usage scenarios to Product Management and Sales.
• Develops and maintains relationships with a customer or group of customers to ensure the current and future product needs are being met and exceeded when possible.
• Develop new ideas, concepts, and products to commercialization through a structured approved process, which identifies the expected and actual return on investment and expenditures for the project. Ideas and concepts should target novel ideas that will improve the intellectual holdings of the company when at all possible.
• Serves as a proactive liaison and support engineer to supervise level one support resolution and fix any escalated trouble tickets. Consults occasionally with users to understand and clarify their expectations of the products and communicate resolution steps and timelines. Creates and maintains a knowledge base of issues, resolutions, use cases, topologies, tricks and tips, configuration guides, FAQs, and documentation improvement suggestions. Documents all user interaction, manages trends, and reports on staff utilization. Identifies and analyzes technical trends and provides appropriate feedback to Product Management and Engineering.
• Provides regular reports for management that update the status of ongoing projects.
• Reviews and analyzes proposals submitted to determine if strategic benefits are derived and if possible applications justify expenditures. Reviews and decides upon research and development proposals to be presented to top management.
• Reviews and determines methods and procedures to be used for monitoring projects, such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences, in order to inform management of current status of each project.
• Drives and enforces structured problem solving and statistical process control to reduce variation and drive continuous improvements in final product quality, reliability, and costs.
• Monitors projects, such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences in order to inform management of current status of each project. Keeps current on competitors' products and services. May be responsible for the overall implementation of new products or services and/or improvement of existing products or services.
• Manages, coordinates, and provides strategic planning of activities concerned with research and development of new or improved concepts, ideas, basic data on, and applications for organization's products, services, or ideologies including engineering research and development programs. Manages the research, identification, evaluation, and initial development of new products or services. Plans and formulates aspects of research and development proposals, such as objective or purpose of projects, applications that can be utilized from findings, cost of projects, and equipment and manpower requirements to be proposed.
• Prior experience in PP Nonwovens manufacturing would be a very positive benefit.
• Exceptional communication skills working with supplier and customers.
