Technical Trainer jobs will not only require candidates to conduct classroom or instructor-led training, but also assist new employees as they integrate into their work area within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities for Technical Trainer jobs include but are not limited to:

  • Instructs employees on the standards required for assembly and testing of semiconductor equipment
  • Observe and document quality control issues related to training and new hire integration
  • Determine trainee areas of improvement and provide on-the-spot correction and training as needed
  • Designs training material as needed (presentations, hands-on activities)
  • Maintains safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.
  • Conducts On-the-Job Training by presenting job-specific, company-specific, and workmanship standards for the semiconductor industry.
  • Instructs trainees in technically advanced training related to AC/DC electronics, troubleshooting, schematics reading, fluid and gas systems, vacuum and leak detection.
  • Conducts computer-training assessments by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, workflow, and reports; understanding job-specific functions and tasks.
  • Maintains quality control by communicating and reinforcing organizational standards.
  • Evaluates training by evaluating effectiveness of training to specific job applications.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  • Understanding of workmanship standards and inspection criteria needed in the assembly of semiconductor equipment.

 

Technical Trainer Skills and Qualifications

  • Presentation Skills, written Communication, training , training management,  self-development, technical leadership, presenting technical information, dealing with complexity, computer skills (Microsoft products).
  • Experience with the following is strongly desired; vacuum systems and leak detection, multimeter (DVM), schematics reading, AC/DC electronics, fluid and gas systems.
  • Must have an Associate Degree in Electronics, Semiconductor, or related field of study. Applicable experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
