Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Laboratory Technician job in Clermont. This is a temporary opportunity. As a Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for helping other chemists in the lab to support projects. Apply Now if you meet the qualifications listed below!

Responsibilities for this Laboratory Technician job include:

Execute routine and non-routine technical project initiatives relating to quality, manufacturing support and cost reduction.
Generate accurate data from activities and make basic observations and some recommendations for next steps in programs within current area of responsibility.
Ensure the timely completion of assigned projects. Assume a supportive role in creative problem solving to drive projects forward.
Coordinate laboratory work flow to optimize individual productivity.
Prepare and analyze samples; perform computer statistical data analysis and prepare final report of results using various software programs.
Assist in the validation of new methods of sample analysis and the integration of new technologies into current analytical practices.
Analyze the physical and organoleptic properties of new industry ingredients to be potentially used in new product development.
Perform required maintenance and repairs on all laboratory instruments and programming of instrument control computers.
Provide data that will be used to proactively problem solve or add value on projects.
Learn and maintain working knowledge of pertinent governmental regulations, plant and lab operations, and new test methodologies. Apply relevant new technologies.
Regularly or as required, write reports or give presentations with limited assistance.
Clearly communicate technical and quality findings to a diverse audience with limited assistance.
Provide data and data analysis that will allow the further investigation and determination of the cause of internal and external complaints.
Adheres to and promotes quality, environmental, health and safety as one of the organization’s business priorities.


• Minimum 1 years experience in analytical chemistry.
• Must be experienced using personal computers in the laboratory environment for data handling and instrument control.
• Experience in technical, R&D or QA environment; beverage, food or consumer products experience is preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to effectively and safely perform routine lab testing and operate standard laboratory equipment.
• Must have mobility to move around the lab and plant operational areas.
• Must be able to lift and carry packages up to 20 pounds.

B.S. Degree in Chemistry or related scientific field
