Temporary Event Coordinator - Maternity Leave Coverage

Adecco Creative is assisting our client, a well-known children's educational publisher, in their search for a temporary Event Coordinator. The position is covering a maternity leave, working 35 hours per week onsite in the client's downtown Manhattan offices, and expected to last up to two months with the possibility of being extended. 

Qualified candidates MUST have previous experience using CVent.

The Assistant/ Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Director of Events with all details for events from inception through post-events. Attention to detail, multi-tasking and ability to meet deadlines is a must for monitoring registration, updating fast-moving spreadsheet information daily, correspondence with sales reps and VIP’s, billing and budget tracking.


  • Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, mail merge, Googledocs and budget spreadsheets
  • Experience using Cvent
  • A minimum of 2 years’ administrative experience
  • Experience with budget upkeep and reconciliation
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Professional demeanor
  • Previous experience with events and/or marketing a plus but not necessary
