Temporary Risk Administrator

Adecco is assisting a local client in Jacksonville, FL 32204 for a temporary Risk Administrator for a two month assignment while a colleague is on medical leave. If you meet the qualifications below, apply now for immediate consideration. Pay is $17.00-$19.00 per hour, depending on experience. 

Essential Job Functions:

Manage Workers’ Compensation claims, including-

  • Preparing and distributing appropriate forms
  • Corresponding with adjusters, doctors, nurses, physical therapists, nurse case managers and any other personnel associated with the treatment/care of an injured or ill employee
  • Properly document and update record-keeping via spreadsheets, email, web based reporting, etc.
  • Prepare appropriate paperwork and communicate with employees as to ensure swift return to work
  • Communicate with field employees, supervisors, managers and officers as needed to ensure proper treatment and claims management is attained

Manage General Liability, Property & Auto Claims, including-

  • Gather all appropriate information and provide to insurance carrier and/or TPA (if needed)
  • Call in and set up claims with carrier and/or TPA (if needed)
  • Correspond with adjusters, account executives with Cecil W. Powell & Co., insurance companies, etc. regarding claims
  • Properly document and update record keeping via spreadsheets, email, web based reporting, etc.

Substance Abuse Testing-

  • Correspond with field personnel, supervisors, managers & officers concerning the need to test employee and/or the test results
  • Properly document and update recordkeeping via spreadsheets, email, web based reporting, etc
  • Correspond with testing laboratories and/or MRO concerning tests and test results

Position Requirements:

?   HS Diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred

?   1 year experience in claims adjusting, litigation, insurance, risk management or other

similar related experience preferred

?   Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with diverse individuals

and to consistently handle interpersonal situations in a professional and respectful manner.

  • Excellent organizational ability, to prioritize, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and to meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented and the ability to provide accurate documentation.
  • Solid knowledge of Google Apps platform and have the ability to learn new software applications and computer programs
  • Has the ability to conduct research using a wide variety of sources
