Test Creation Administrator I

Our client  is looking for a  Test Creation Administrator in the San Antonio, Texas office. Come join a team dedicated to the creation of standardized tests for K-12 assessments. Our mission is to help advance quality and equity in education by providing fair and valid assessments.  This position starts off on a 3-6 month contract and can extend from there. 

The Test Creation Administrator I is an intermediate support position, in which the primary focus is on varied and sometimes complex administrative duties. This role provides support for multiple internal groups using specialized test creation software. As a Test Creation Administrator, a typical day might include the following tasks: Entering test items, passages, and metadata into the item banking system. Assisting content specialists with applying item edits. Applying accommodations to test items which aid in the testing process for specific student populations. Using SharePoint, Excel, and other software tools to track item submissions. Ability to shift from one assignment to another, as priorities change. Working overtime on weekdays and weekend, when needed. Assisting in preparing materials for external committee reviews. Performing general administrative functions as required in support of test creation. Assisting with software support for the group, including troubleshooting technical issues related to software functionality and testing new enhancements. Reliably and efficiently follows established processes and proposes efficiency and innovation to improve processes helping to reduce costs. Attends internal team meetings as required and provides feedback and asks questions in a group setting. Follows steps provided in internal process documents, thoroughly QC's work for accuracy by following checklist provided, and refers to client style guide for preferences. Working at a constant pace consistent with the metric for a task, while still maintaining quality and attention to detail. Staying in continuous contact with your mentor for training, progress, assistance with tasks and strategically competing deadlines. Contacting internal departments such as graphics, editorial or content to clarify task requested. Enters time into two time recording systems accurately day. Team Work and Flexibility Actively participate in teams. Is customer focused and fosters respectful relationships with internal teams and various departments within the company. Performs tasks with the highest of quality in mind to ensure there is no rework required. Demonstrates a strong learning orientation to willingly develop new skills and competencies that will improve personal and business performance.

Education & Experience A Bachelors degree is preferred. High School diploma is required. Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience is strongly recommended. Advanced level skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Skype for Business, WebEx, SharePoint). Exhibit professionalism and have a record of quality work. Have a desire to create quality assessments. Desired Attributes You are motivated, solution oriented, and have a strong work ethic. You are willing to learn the test creation software as well as other third party applications to perform your job duties.
