Test Facility Coordinator

We are looking for a Test Facility Coordinator to manage operational bring-up of test sites, reservations, and logistics ensuring a successful test at a remote site. A successful coordinator is an organized, proactive planner that can resolve issues quickly. This role is fast-paced and ever changing, so excellent communication and organization skills are essential. Responsible for coordinating and facilitating reservations at remote test locations to support business objectives. You will be working independently and cross-functionally to understand the testing needs and priorities while balancing site capabilities, availability and resources.

 

Summary of Primary Duties:

  • Receive and fulfill test requests within the necessary time frame and manage a system and process through which requests can be received and organized
  • Serve as an arbitrator to resolve competing requests for space and time at test sites
  • Maintaining flexibility and adequate resources to ensure the highest priority test site requests are completed within the necessary time frame
  • Work with management to ensure test site best practices are followed and communicated to all users
  • Broadly and concisely communicate test site updates and changes to availability, policies, etc.
  • Maintain all documentation related to test site usage and create as needed
  • Organize test site trainings as required
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to finalize logistics as needed for each site request
  • File work and maintenance orders as needed to ensure sites are in good working order.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 21 years old.
  • Able to work 40 hours per week.
  • Able to work either early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends, as needed and travel for up to one week at a time.
  • Minimum of 3 years of facilities, event, or site coordination experience
  • Valid driver's license for the state of CA
  • Comply with Waymo’s zero-tolerance policy regarding the use of alcohol or drugs by self-driving vehicle operators during a shift, including randomized drug testing, as required by state law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Able to type at least 50wpm.
  • Able to multitask multiple technologies, including communications devices and vehicle status systems.
  • Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps (Gmail, Hangouts, and Drive, including Sheets and Docs).
  • Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
