Department Profile

The primary responsibility of the Test Security Specialist is to protect the integrity of tests by detecting, correcting, and preventing test fraud. The Test Security Specialist will serve as liaison to internal/external clients, test takers, and the General Counsel Office.

Test Security Specilaists

  • Identify and investigate testing abnormalities and security breaches, including score validity and secure material violations. 
  • Extensive customer service experience needed (confidence needed to handle professional conversations with clients and test takers) 
  • Conduct investigations regarding score validity including impersonation, copying, inappropriate communication, and unusual similarities in essays 
  • Ability to analyze and interpret computer studies/statistical analyses. Advanced MS Excel skills are highly desired.
  • Document investigative actions, prepare documentary files by determining information relevant to each case, and recommend course of action based on evaluation of evidence 
    Ability to work effectively independently in a fast-paced, changing environment 
  • Overall problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution capabilities
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience is required
