Tool Room Manager

Adecco is hiring a Tool Room Manager for a manufacturing company in Hudson, NH. Specialty: Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned project or tasks. Division: Hudson, NH Department: Tooling Reports to: Plan Manager Shift: 1st Position Purpose Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, constructs, alters, maintains, and repairs with minimal supervision, molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures. Operates most tool room machinery in a clean and safe manner, has the ability to work selfpaced to meet tight timelines and can think through issues with minimal instruction. Key Duties and Responsibilities Assemble and disassemble molds; analyze and solve basic mold problems including flashing conditions, galling, venting, cooling problems, etc. Understand the operation of an injection mold. Recommend manufacturing methods, support / assist in mold design Plan construction procedures and methods, selecting the proper materials for a mold. Layout, fabricate and assemble molds while planning the machine tooling and fixtures required by analyzing blueprints, sketches, models and engineering or shop specification. Use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Set up and operate of machines in tool room CNC mill, EDM wire and sinker, lathe, Bridgeport / Prototrak, and grinder. Compute dimensions; determine machining and material or parts required. Use SurfCAM and other CAD software. Perform mold changes & modifications Perform precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions. Solve problems relating to unusual material, workholding arrangements, machine settings, fabrication methods, and production process Monitor and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Stone and polish mold components. Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. Supports all company safety and quality programs and initiatives Troubleshooting of minor problems with tooling and production. Deal tactfully with employees, contractors and managers. All other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from 2 year college or technical school; or three to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in tooling and machining industry. Advanced math skills, in relation to metrology equipment. Computer skills, attention to detail, organized, with critical thinking skills is a must. Excellent communication and phone skills are very important, as is proficiency with Windows and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong work ethic, flexible, ability to work in a fast pace constantly changing environment with long hours and tight deadlines MidLevel customer service experience
