Adecco Executive Recruitment is currently looking for candidates for the job of TOOLING ENGINEER for its client in the Jamestown, NY area.

You will:


Manage new and existing Tooling programs for major projects to ensure that all efforts and considerations are made for injection mold tooling, tooling maintenance, and the highest quality and most cost-effective productivity.
Follow and adhere to NPI process and TS 16949 standards for product development.
Manage tooling projects, track and document tooling budgets and timing for tools, tool changes, and tooling repairs for new and existing products .
Provide technical analysis of part, tool design, and material selection criteria and utilize advanced engineering techniques such as mold flow and cooling analysis.
Coordinate with tool builders during the tooling design and build process to ensure conformance with company's tooling specification standards.
Support the development of mold design concepts and maintenance of updated mold design files.
Support the establishment of the injection molding process, including all molding conditions, processing standards, secondary operations, and necessary corrective actions to ensure optimum conditions to meet SPC evaluations and controls.
Provide engineering/maintenance/troubleshooting support for maintaining injection mold tooling and molding processes as required.
Assist in equipment selection, specification and the development of preventative maintenance protocol for molds and molding equipment.
Provide support for team projects, interplant activities and projects and productivity tooling improvement projects as required.
Responsible for taking tooling corrective actions as necessary.


You will have:



Bachelor' degree in Plastics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Three to five (3-5) years increasingly responsible tooling engineering work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preference will be given to candidates with a four year Plastics Engineering degree with emphasis on design, injection mold processing or the equivalent
Solid knowledge in product, equipment and mold design, machine shop operations and practices, molding operations and processing capabilities of thermoplastic molding materials
Working knowledge of plastic materials, engineering grade thermoplastics materials and mold flow; scientific molding principles and demonstrated set-up and troubleshooting knowledge/skills.
Metal forming and die cast tooling experience a plus.
