We are looking for a talented Professional Engineer (PE) to join our Engineering Department in support of
temporary traffic control for service providers. This position will design,
oversee, and support the planning and implementation of complex temporary traffic control
projects while managing client relationships. The candidate should be able to balance work on
several projects of Large scope with complex features on an ongoing basis. With aptitude in
planning, assigning tasks, designing, and reviewing the work of professionals, administrative
and technical employees to produce complete project documents. Reviews the work of other
engineers and technicians to ensure conformity and quality assurance. Receives guidance and
supervision relating to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
Specific activities will include the preparation of plans, specifications, and reports for submission
on highway, roadway, and other public works improvement projects. Applies a broad and
extensive knowledge of principles and practices of traffic engineering and independently
evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures and criteria to complete


Stamp traffic control plans with PE seal
Design traffic control plans with a comprehensive understanding of local and federal standards
Assists with the preparation of proposals to provide professional services
Coordinate planning activities and resources required to meet goals
Represent the company to customers and government officials in a knowledgeable and professional manner
Create an environment of continuing education within Engineering Department
Involvement in engineering organizations
Attend and participate in regularly scheduled team and customer meetings
Gain comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices related to collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Other duties and special projects as assigned


Professional Engineer (PE) in client’s footprint or ability to obtain
1-2 years’ experience in transportation engineering preferred
Solid understanding of Federal and State-specific MUTCDs, ATSSA, Design Standards, and Specifications
Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Proven customer relationships experience
Team oriented, dedicated to personal excellence
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills
Excellent written and verbal skills
Positive outlook and engaged personality
Strong computer skills
Experience with CAD software

This is a full-time position that will require less than 20% travel. Our client is open to relocating the right person to the Canton/Akron, OH area. Salary will be based on experience and includes a generous benefits package including: Medical, dental, vision; 401K; Life; STD/LTD and Profit sharing.
