Adecco is currently seeking a strong Transportation Admin with prior experience working for a freight forwarding company located in Houston, TX.  Import/ Export Coordinator will process and

 

Shift hours are Monday – Friday: 8:00 am- 5:00 pm.  If you meet the qualifications below, please Apply Now! Hourly rate is $15 - $18.00 per hour. This temp to hire position, must be able to work 40 hours with occasional overtime.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Receive and track customer bookings/orders. Send shipping instructions overseas according to customer instructions or established SOP’s.
  • Notify customer of arrival and charges. This must apply to any delay notices and Customs/Exam holds. Applicable charges for any holds must also be advised to the necessary party concerned immediately after we receive our notification.
  • Basic Purpose: Hourly Rate: $15- $18 depending on experience.

  • This position is responsible for assisting the Transportation staff with the driver checking process as well as assisting in other duties as needed.
  •  
  • Principle Accountabilities: 
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform driver checking with returning drivers. This includes going through invoices, checking in truck and store keys, proper handling of logs and DVIRs.
  • Requires going outside in different weather conditions and may require climbing into tractors or trailers.
  • Complete transportation pouches including route manifests, invoices, special customer notifications, maps, directions and stores keys for drivers.
  • Conduct physical equipment inspections, assist in the maintenance of DriverPro, PeopleNet, backing up Dispatchers in their duties, etc.
  • Perform load audits on a daily basis.
  •  Provide administrative support for the transportation staff.
  •  Ensure all invoices, load summaries, and labels are printed, sorted and distributed appropriately, and ensure
  •     that loads are completed and accurate.
  •  Create presentations, memos, letters and other documentation.
  •  Provide assistance as needed with customer communications.
  •  Answer calls and direct calls to the appropriate person.
  •  Sort mail, order supplies, copy and collate business materials.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
