Seeking a talented Logistics Day Shift Transportation Admin for a dynamic company in the North Houston area.

This position is responsible for assisting the Transportation staff with the driver check-in process as well as assisting in other duties as needed.

Principle Accountabilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
?Perform driver check-in with returning drivers. This includes going through invoices, checking in truck and store keys, proper handling of logs and DVIR?s.
?Requires going outside in different weather conditions and may require climbing into tractors or trailers.
?Complete transportation pouches including route manifests, invoices, special customer notifications, maps, directions and stores keys for drivers.
?Conduct physical equipment inspections, assist in the maintenance of DriverPro, PeopleNet, backing up Dispatchers in their duties, etc.
?Perform load audits on a daily basis.
? Provide administrative support for the transportation staff.
? Ensure all invoices, load summaries, and labels are printed, sorted and distributed appropriately, and ensure
that loads are completed and accurate.
? Create presentations, memos, letters and other documentation.
? Provide assistance as needed with customer communications.
? Answer calls and direct calls to the appropriate person.
? Sort mail, order supplies, copy and collate business materials.
? Perform all other duties as assigned

Schedule flexibility is required and must and have the ability to operate in a fast paced, ever changing environment, which is in constant flux due to changes in customer needs.

Knowledge and Experience:
? Have a High School Diploma or GED.
? Have 1-2 years administrative experience with working knowledge of office practices.
? Have strong interpersonal skills and professional personal presentation skills are required.
? Be able to meet tight deadlines with little margin for error.
? Be able to perform computer word processing, presentations/graphic proficiency and spreadsheet skills are
required (Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
? Have basic math skills required and must be capable of calculations on calculator and computer.
