TITLE:                   Transportation Administrator

HOURS:                  Sun. - Thurs. 5:30 P.M. – 2:00  A.M.

PAY GRADE:        $14.00-$18.00 Depending on experience POSITION SUMMARY:  Daily development of routes and store delivery schedule for merchandise to stores.

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Using Manugistics Routing Application to maximize trailer cube, store delivery schedule, and schedule vehicle dispatches according to company-defined resources and constraints.
  • Ability to download, and upload files to routing application using a Windows/OS2 based application.
  • Ability to utilize the routing software to create Transportation Analysis reports, and daily upkeep of routing system environment.
  • Review and analyze routes created by the system and adjust as necessary according to company needs. 
  • Check and verify that information has been transmitted and uploaded information to system for final processing.
  • Create necessary reports and distribute to appropriate departments.

 

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Individual must possess good math and communication skills, be well-organized, detail-oriented and able to work effectively with and independently of others while under strict time constraints.  Position requires working knowledge of Windows/OS2 based application.  Basic knowledge of DOT regulations as well as shipping procedures and trailer size and cubing is preferred. 

Position requires a criminal background check.
