Job Title: Transportation Operations - System Configurations Analyst

Location: Mountain View and San Jose, CA

Pay: $30 - $40/hr.

Estimated length: 1 year with the opportunity to extend to 2 years

As a transportation system configurations analyst you will be part of an integral team that understands and designs coverage areas for our core business. This position requires a self-starter who can work both in a team and independently; has experience in operations (preferably transportation and network systems); has excellent project planning and execution; and enjoys collaborating and working with others. We are interested in a person who will help drive business decisions by analyzing issues, communicating in-depth root causes, and developing plans for improvement.  


Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Use internal systems to maintain and update transportation network configurations regularly.

  • End to end project management including planning, prioritizing and execution of projects cross functionally.

  • Able to assess situations, communicate roadblocks, offer potential solutions to the issue at hand, and handle and/or escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner with minimal supervision.

  • Troubleshoot system issues where there are often multiple dependencies and work with product teams to design new tools and features.

  • Create effective tools, reporting, and analysis for transportation changes, evolving over time in line with the broader transportation business’ needs

  • Analyze data using SQL and Google Sheets and provide recommendations based on analysis

  • Execute all daily tasks with a sense of purpose as this role moves quickly and is generally critical in time-sensitive business decisions


  • Exceptional problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced work environment

  • Bachelor degree required, (Mathematics, Analytics, and/or Science related majors preferred)

  • Strong competency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel spreadsheet-based data manipulation (VLOOKUP, equations, and functions)

  • Competency in SQL required (should be comfortable with joints, aggregate functions, and subqueries)

  • Minimum 2 years of similar work experience

  • Proactive and open communication (written and verbal), able to ask questions and vocalize concerns

  • Excellent time management and project management skills
