Utility Worker Pipeline

Job Duties and Requirements:

  • Follow all safety, food safety and GMP protocols
  • May work hands-on with high quality food, packaging it for Direct to Consumer
  • Wash pots, pans, trays, utensils and other cooking or serving dishes ensuring proper cleanliness in accordance with GMP and HACCP procedures and place these items in proper storage
  • Monitor and report job status to supervisor on regular basis
  • Ability to fill out daily documentation
  • Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures
  • Maintain dish and storage areas in an organized, clean, safe and orderly state
  • Setup, adjust and troubleshoot equipment to facilitate effective operation
  • Shut down equipment in accordance with company standards and follow through with all shift closing duties as outlined
  • Maintain temperature and chemical levels as outlined by company standards
  • Effectively communicate inconsistencies or issues relating to safety, quality, personnel and equipment to appropriate management
  • Sweep and mop dish station, kitchen and storage areas to ensure safety and sanitation compliance
  • Wash work tables, walls, refrigerators and other food prep surfaces
  • Assist when needed with food packing or sanitation needs in other departments
  • Remove trash and place in designated containers and steam clean or hose out garbage cans
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Help load and unload supplies and product
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ability to work at a quick and steady pace
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to follow all established guidelines and procedures as established
  • Ability to stand for to the duration of the shift
  • Ability to work in temperatures between 35-80 degrees (coveralls are provided)
  • Ability to work in a wet environment
  • Ability to safely lift 50 pounds from the ground
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with the team
  • The Utility Specialist/Dishwasher is responsible for all activities within the Dish Station
  • Candidate must we willing to receive a Hep A vaccination at their expense within 2 weeks of start
  • Candidate must be willing to take and must pass Serve-Save Food Handler certification

  • The Utility Worker is responsible for ware washing, kitchen cleanliness, sanitation operations and coordination of tasks to ensure completion. Duties of this position include: ware washing, care and cleaning of floors and walls, cleaning and sanitation of food preparation areas, cleaning and maintenance of food storage areas, receiving and stocking inventory and removal and proper disposal of kitchen waste.
  • The ideal candidate will be dependable, maintains positive interaction with residents, guests and staff, able to use safe operating procedures and exercise judgment, must be a self-starter and possess a high level of motivation.
  • This position requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the entire work day and the ability to lift, stack and maneuver objects that may weigh 30 to 50 pounds.
