Position Title: UX Designer
Location: Charlotte, NC (No relocation assistance, per diem, or expense reimbursement can be offered)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Up to 1 Year

Position Summary:
Responsible for designing, developing and supporting user interfaces for customer-facing websites and native apps. Collaborate with various business and technical project stakeholders to review and visualize requirements in wireframes and prototypes. Provide day-to-day support of development teams.

Essential Job Functions:

● Collaborate with other business and technical stakeholders to turn concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
● Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently. ● Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
● Provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
● Communicate designs to project stakeholders and process and incorporate feedback as appropriate
● Support stakeholders during technical implementation
● Monitor user engagement and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
● Lead and participate in the design and implementation of large and/or architecturally significant applications
● Champion company standards and best practices
● Communicate with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance to standards
● Travel to local campuses, such as the Landings, and to attend company meetings
● Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
● Facilitate the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:

● Bachelor’s degree in Design, Information Architecture or related field ● 1-2+ years’ experience in visual design of web or native apps
● Ability to communicate and conduct presentations effectively at all levels of the organization ● Ability to interact well in a team environment
● Proficient using wireframing and design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, OmniGraffle, Keynote etc. Basic HTML5, CSS and JavaScript skills are a plus.
● Experience with rapid prototyping, using techniques such as sketching or wireframing
● Willing and capable of learning emerging technologies and how they embrace UX, EG: Voice, AR, VR

Desired Previous Job Experience

● Portfolio demonstrating work experience
● Familiar with universally accepted usability principles and best practices
● Experience on large scale projects with demonstrated ability to work across teams, gather and incorporate feedback from line of business, product management, development, and executive stakeholders.
● Previous experience to define, develop and document UX design and interaction requirements ● Skilled with design tools to document information architecture, user interaction, creative comps
and prototypes.
