Vice President of Group Transportation

The Vice President of Group Transportation is responsible for providing management and leadership for all aspects of the division. The VP-GT will be responsible for developing and executing annual divisional business plan in alignment with company strategies for division. The VP-GT will be responsible for driving divisional sales and managing all divisional operations toward the attainment of annual goals and objectives. VP-GT will provide strong leadership to divisional employee relations environment in line with overall company philosophy and values. VP-GT will monitor divisional performance to ensure compliance with company policies and goal attainment in all key result areas including safety, sales, customer service, profitability, and employee relations. VP-GM will collaborate as a member of company executive team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

P&L Management Responsible for achieving all sales and profitability goals of division. Work in collaboration with President to develop divisional strategies, goals, and budgets. Manage divisional execution of Annual Business plan, establish controls, monitor all key result areas, and prepare reports for company leadership meetings.

Sales & Marketing Drive divisional sales growth through the effective management of divisional sales and customer service teams. Maintain excellent personal relationships with all major accounts in division ensuring that we maintain high levels of customer intimacy and satisfaction. Plan and execute marketing strategy to effectively promote company services and brand.

Safety - Responsible for ensuring safety compliance and promoting a safe work culture by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, and meeting with individual staff members.

Operations Work to continuously improve 24/7 divisional operations through measurement of key operating result areas and engagement of employees. Must embrace technology to enhance safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction performance. Develop operating best practices across the division along with strong training and accountability systems.

Cost Plan, staff, direct, organize and control operations to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets. Proactively manage labor and vehicle schedules to reflect our varying business volume demands while maximizing efficiencies.

Employee Relations Lead a strong divisional employee relations climate in alignment with company philosophy to ensure divisional ability to attract and retain both staff and drivers that the division needs to operate successfully. Resolve and / or elevate important employee relations issues and collaborate on company level employee issues.

Customer Service Manage divisional operations optimally to meet and exceed the expectations of divisional customers. Ensure that passenger interactions at all touch points are professional, focused on solutions, and that customer concerns are addressed in a timely and satisfactory manner.
