VMI Associate

Responsibilities for the VMI Associate job include but are not limited to:

  • • Interfaces with customers to evaluate needs or concerns and communicates these to outside sales reps.
  • • Maintains on-site daily product reporting and analysis to ensure supply chain controls.
  • • Sources, upsells, and builds relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • • Provides daily support of OSR’s sales efforts and account maintenance functions.
  • • Ensures actual inventory count and communicates with warehouse personnel.
  • • Assists with on-site product location and identification.
  • • Enters, reviews, and releases orders to support e-commerce solutions.
  • • Communicates changes, shortages, and concerns directly to customers and branch management.
  • • Ensures data in eStock is accurate and up-to-date.
  • • Answers questions from current and potential customers on VMI utilization.
  • • Performs daily scanning and sync tasks.
  • • Maintains eStock and eCrib VMI labels and webpage revisions to ensure minimum and maximum inventory levels.

VMI candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Must have a high school diploma/GED
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and multitask with ease
  • Must be able to provide and wear steel toe boots and may need to lift 50 pounds
  • Electrical, construction, or mechanical products – 1 year required; 2 years preferred.
  • Resolving technical, equipment, and service related issues – 1 year required; 2 years preferred.
  • Able to multi-task.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to use win-win approach to resolve controversy, stay objective and fair when dealing with sensitive situations, and maintain constructive working relationships.
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Ability to meet emerging customer needs. Including strong customer service background.
  • Ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and potential accounts.
  • Drive company vehicle.
  • Strong presentation and persuasion skills.

We have an opening on the first shift Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Pay for this position is $16.00 to $18.00 per hour. This is a temporary to hire opportunity.
