Warehouse Manager - Irvine CA

Adecco is currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager.  This role is a direct hire for our client located in Irvine, CA.  The Warehouse Manager will ensure that the day to day operations of the warehouse functions are completed safely and accurately.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works on department strategy development for continuous improvement in safety, operations and food safety/quality.
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.
  • Provides and facilitates effective training for the warehouse team.
  • Communicates with the warehouse team to confirm pending tasks.
  • Maintains shipping and receiving schedule.
  • Controls inventory levels by running daily inventory reports, requests cycle reports of purchased items from purchasing/logistics manager.
  • Ensures and verifies all inventory adjustments are completed accurately.
  • Completes weekly KPI reports and daily review for the warehouse.
  • Responsible to manage age ingredient & Packaging
  • Verify Forklift inspections are being completed accurately and timely
  • Verifies pallet transfers are taken place in a timely manner and the necessary paper work has been filled accurately.
  • Verifies storage of finished goods in the freezer as indicated by ensuring that employees are following
  • Directs personnel to provide production materials in a timely manner as requested by production personnel following
  • Ensures the verification of bill of lading against the purchase order, provided by the purchasing department following the
  • Verify that all required documents are signed and shipping quantities are correct.
  • Ensures that all re-palletizing is follows the safety measures and GMP’s as well as
  • Ensure GWP are followed by the warehouse.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Serves as a first line of defense for food safety and quality.
  • Employee must follow all company food safety and personal safety policies and procedures. Maintain a safe environment.
  • Satisfactory work and attendance record.
  • Attends all company required training.
  • Good communication skills (i.e. with line leader/supervisors and co-workers).
  • Accepts guidance from the warehouse supervisor, warehouse manager, and production supervisors.
  • Demonstrate good team work practices.
  • Supports the South Coast Baking Excellence Philosophy.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or six to eight months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift Certification.
  • Warehouse experience
  • Must possess excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Requires operational knowledge of computer software (EXCEL, WORD, ACCESS, OUTLOOK, Internet applications, etc.
