Warehouse Manager


Adecco is now assisting in fulfilling a Warehouse Manager position for one of our clients located on the NE side of San Antonio! This position is a direct hire opportunity!

Seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager that can assist with implementing process and directing the staff to meet goals and objectives.

Responsible for: Duties and responsibilities are not limited to and are as follows -

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment: Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  •  Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  •  Determines space requirements and position of shipment in boxcars and trucks and lays out position of shipment.
  •  Determines routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits of states.
  •  Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded boxcars and truck doors.
  •  Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
  •  Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage/work areas.
  • Manage supply of raw materials, packaging, auxiliary, finished products to and from production.
  • Analyze and evaluate inventory levels in regards of obsolescence, turns, etc.
  • Oversees the production plan in accordance with existing requirements of materials and equipment;
  • Validate raw material usage in production vs inventory level residual to ensure accurate inventory is maintained and restock as needed to meet delivery lead times.
  • Supervise production and reported orders versus what was planned, and communicating to the production teams if an item is missing;
  • Will participate in the meetings that follow and discuss the realization of production;
  • Comply with safety rules and emergency procedures;
  • Actively participate in projects to improve the KPI’s within the company.
  • Compiles records of unfilled orders. Posts weight and shipping charges. Prepares bills of lading.  May assist workers in shipping and receiving activities.
  • Centralization of merchandise, receives problems from suppliers and resolves them.
  • Maintains relationships with suppliers to ensure terms and conditions are upheld.
  • Monitors deliveries and communications for conformity to customs and tax documents, and any other reporting requirements;
  • Centralization of acquisitions.
  • Prepares and analyzes various reports requested management;
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all data available in the company

  • 2-4 years experience of data processing experience, ideally within a Distribution or Warehouse environment
  • Minimum one year of customer service/warehouse experience
  • Familiar with Import/Export and Hazmat regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Strong sense of urgency and  have the ability to meet deadlines
  • Dependable and attention to detail and knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, ERP, IFS 

Physical Demands

  • Capable of repetitive lifting of up to 50 frequently and  up to 75 lbs infrequently.
