POSITION: Export Traffic Analyst
HOURS: [2nd shift] 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm [OT possible]
DURATION: Long Term Indefinite
PAY: $16.50/hr.

Key Responsibilities:
Job Description:

Export traffic analyst works in a team environment to prepare customer orders for international shipping.

Analyst is responsible for preparation of all required documents for each shipment, including but not limited to invoice, bill of lading BOL, shippers letter of instructions SLI, airway bill AWB.

All orders are processed one at a time by the analyst from start to finish ensuring perfect quality.

Analyst follows written work instructions, direction from department section head and supervisor.

At times as needed analyst is required to communicate directly, via email and phone with management, carriers, forwarders and customers.

Analyst is required to move processed freight to shipping dock area, small packages and large LTL orders using a pallet jack.

Analyst may be required to perform additional duties as required by Department management like packing orders, weighing orders, shrink wrap pallets etc.

Qualifications and position requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good computer skills, use of email, excel, word, internet

Knowledge of carriers, basic shipping routing guidelines, AES/ACE system, Inco terms a plus

Knowledge of regulations and restrictions for shipping of Dangerous Goods material by ground and Air/IATA Certification training a plus

Knowledge of distribution processes a plus

Ability to work in the high pace environment with minimal supervision

Basic math skills are necessary

The candidate will be required to work overtime to meet Same Day Ship goal and work until close of business day as needed on a short notice and for the end of the month until 12am.
