Job Summary
Position is responsible for a variety of packaging and manufacturing duties. Primary purpose will include packaging product into finished cases/bags at standard packaging speeds and stacking cases/bags of finished product on pallets for delivery to warehouse.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Understand all safety rules and procedures and follow them at all times.
Keep and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Assist in setting up the line for packing and palletizing.
Monitor the quality of products. Making sure that all the proper packaging is being used.
Stacks cases of finished product on pallets and transports empty and finished pallets.
Supplies empty cases and trays to packers.
Performs pack-off duties.
Performs code changeovers and verifies proper code usage.
Communicates frequently with lead, supervisor or manager; other material handlers, machine operators and warehouse employees.
Communicates equipment failures and process improvement.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Ability to stand and walk on concrete floor for prolonged periods
Frequent bending, lifting and twisting for extended periods of time
Can lift up to 50 lbs.
Wear proper personal protective equipment when necessary (hair net, beard net, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform)

Required Skills
Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English
Able to operate material handling equipment including (electric pallet jacks or manual hand jacks)

Preferred Skills
Trained in Good Manufacturing Practices, basic allergen handling, wash down procedures, food defense and HACCP
Forklift experience and classroom certification

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules
Successful completion of substance and physical screening
Successful completion of math and English language exam
