Welder – Cumberland County
Full-time / Direct Hire / 1st or 2nd Shift / OT Available / Full Benefits

Our client has been a leading manufacturer of high power, high quality microwave transmission components and systems across the scientific, commercial, and military sectors. They have been in business for more than 25 years and are growing!

This is an immediate direct hire need and they have openings for both 1st and 2nd shift. First shift is M – F starting between 5:00am and 6:00am. Second shift is M – TH (4 x 10’s) and does offer a 10% Shift Differential. Overtime is Available!

The environment is a fast paced job shop with many different orders/parts but at low volume.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc and gas metal arc
Monitor the fitting and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material
Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
Read blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine product instructions and specifications
Operate plasma torch and heating torches


REQUIREMENTS:

Mig and Tig Welding experience
Experience welding aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel
Ability to weld very thin gauges of material, from .012 to .250 inch thick
Must be able to use a vernier and height gauge
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods, technical plans, blueprints, drawings.
Able to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
