Welding Inspector

Responsibilities for this Welding Inspector position include :

 

  • Follow all safety standards designed by company standards
  • Ensure all materials are completed accurately
  • Inspect welded materials and finished goods to ensure they comply with company specifications
  • Review welding specs for each projects and work with team to overcome fabrication challenges
  • Review issues and work with on site management to address resolutions for non-conformances and preventing future issues
  • Annual calibration of welding equipment, inspection equipment and re-qualifications for bolt
  • Remain current with all certifications, licenses, industry standards, and procedures
  • Assist in developing annual training programs for new and experienced employees
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 

Qualifications for this Welding Inspector position include:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of welding experience
  • AWS Certified Weld Inspector or Associate Inspector is preferred but not required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of AWS, City of LA, API, UL or STI
  • Ability to motivate others to quality results
  • Ability to read blue prints
  • Ability to work with a variety of different people and personalities
  • Knowledge of GMAW, FCAW and TIG desired
  • Ability to maintain a positive working attitude, problem solve, and flexibility to move from one project to the next
  • Ability to maintain equipment and keep a clean and safe work environment
  • Ability to work overtime as needed for company demand

 

 

Pay for this position is $21.00- $28.00/hr depending upon experience plus overtime as needed.  This is a long time, direct hire opportunity with a ton of advancement opportunities for the right individual.
