Woodworking Sales & Project Manager (Northeast based)

Adecco's Direct Hire Recruiting Division seeks a driven & entrepreneurially-spirited Sales & Project Manager in the Northeast (can be home based in WI, TN, IL, CT, PA, MA or upstate NY) with 5-10 years’ experience selling custom-made architectural woodwork, products & solutions for multi-million dollar commercial properties. As a Sales & Project Manager, you will be assisting VP of Sales with project management of new sales leads, while sourcing new business leads within the industry via the institutional construction market, understanding competitors and prospective clients with architectural woodwork project needs within the Northeast region - covering the market west of the Mississippi - states of WI, TN, IL, CT, PA, MA or upstate NY.

You will be working alongside architects and general contractors, from inception of the plan through the bidding process & negotiation of the contract, to ensure custom-tailored plan is set to highest of clients’ standards, before construction process begins. While the execution of the construction is handled by general contractors, you would be responsible for entire process leading up to construction, ensuring smooth transition.Affiliation or network with AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) would be helpful.


Source new project leads via generals contractors, architects and real estate developers within the industry for recommendations on prospective architectural projects to bid
Assist the estimating department by establishing clients needs, project schedule, drawings & specs and bid documents
Provide customized turn-key solutions to prospective clients utilizing product samples, architectural drawings, inviting local installers & contractors onsite
Submit bid via CRM software & follow-through every step along the way ; conduct post bid review meetings with clients & make adjustments to requests as needed
Negotiate the contracts terms and conditions with clients & monitor contract signatures
Develop sales strategies focusing on brand’s global competitive advantages & creating marketing tools to support efforts during meetings


Trade school, AA or BA degree preferred
Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in sales, with custom-architecture, custom-design woodworking, and raw materials sales experience a MUST
Affiliation or network with AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) a PLUS
Knowledge & understanding of architectural plans
Strong project management experience within the trade, organization, leadership and negotiation skills, with a results-oriented approach
Strong command of the English language – verbal & written
MUST be able to travel 50-60% of the time within the Northeast region & work from home office when not traveling (home office supplies & tools will be provided by company) - can be based out of the Northeast in the states mentioned as long as you're close to a major airport w/ easy access to flying: WI, TN, IL, CT, PA, MA or upstate NY
MUST be able to travel to Canada 3-4 times/year & have a valid passport
