Summary:

We are seeking an innovative Senior Purchasing Agent. In this role, you will coordinate the full cycle purchasing and sourcing process to include supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution. You will use your expertise to drive excellence in all areas of the purchasing process.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.       Analyze a plethora of financial and procurement data to craft negotiation strategies and approve purchasing contracts with optimal terms.

2.       Apply knowledge of sourcing strategies in the aerospace / automotive / manufacturing environments. International purchasing experience beneficial.

3.       Assist Purchasing Manager in developing and implementing internal and external instructions, policies, and procedures to optimize workflow and cost efficiencies.

4.       Manage and maintain accurate MRP inputs including supplier, lead times, and pricing.

5.       Write specifications, prepare bids, handle bidding process, analyze market availability and suggest award.

6.       Drive supplier performance, establish key performance metrics and communicate when serious variations arise in delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.

7.       Purchase supplies and materials at the optimal price and delivery cycle while maintaining the lowest possible inventory levels.

8.       Adapt to changing market conditions to ensure supply chain availability and quality conformance of all purchases.

9.       Drive tasks to completion with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

10.   Work cross-functionally with many groups including Operations, IT, Finance, Research & Development and Marketing to help manage and support supply chain activities and product costings.

11.   Self-starter with excellent teamwork skills.
